🧑🎄🎶 SINGER ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🧑🎄
We are delighted to introduce another fantastic singer who will be joining us at our upcoming HBW presents a Christmas Carol Concert at Bona Church on the evening of Tuesday 10th December The fabulous Katie Munro! Here is what Katie had to tell us about herself and why she was so keen to be involved in this event:
My name is Katie Munro. I moved to the Highlands in 2020. I have been singing for years. In 2012 I joined the military wives’ choir, featuring in 2 albums and a music video. I also got the opportunity to sing with the Scottish legend Lulu!
In 2023, I applied for the Ness Factor and became a finalist, raising funds for the Highland Hospice. Now I sing solo and with my newly formed band NessiX.
I wanted to sing at the Xmas Concert to bring awareness and help raise funds for the HALO Charity. Knowing that the cost of living is having a detrimental effect on families, I am hoping the money raised brings a positive impact on all those that need support. I volunteer for MCR Pathways supporting vulnerable children and with having 2 children of my own, I wanted to give something back to the community.

Highland Action For Little Ones - Halo
We wanted to take some time to highlight our wonderful Charity of the Year Highland Action For Little Ones - Halo and the fantastic work they do within our local community.
Halo was founded to support families in crisis and bridge a gap for families who require immediate assistance for their wee ones. In the Highlands 1 in every 5 children is living in poverty and living in poverty can create adverse childhood experiences for children and can leave them vulnerable to being bullied, limiting their life chances and opportunities. When something as simple as a warm winter jacket and boots encourages a child to want to attend school, it’s a small step on their path to a brighter future.
You can help Halo at anytime by donating via the Just Giving link below:
https://www.justgiving.com/.../highland-business-women...
They also have an Amazon wishlist:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/14G4HEZS013DF...
You can also drop any donations to their drop off at the Eastgate Centre or at their HQ at 50 Seafield Road, Inverness, IV1 1SG by prior arrangement.
