Fiona is a former Fèis Rois participant who returned home to Ross-shire to take up the post of Chief Executive of Fèis Rois in April 2009. Fiona graduated MA (Hons) Celtic Studies from the University of Edinburgh before going onto build a career in the arts in Scotland. Named in the 2018 BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour Power List, which recognised the top 40 most successful women having an impact on the music we are all listening to, and inducted by the Saltire Society as one of ten Outstanding Women in Scotland in 2019, Fiona has ensured that Fèis Rois is recognised as one of Scotland’s leading arts organisations. In her 10+ years at Fèis Rois, Fiona has grown the organisation to have an international reach whilst ensuring its roots are very firmly planted in Ross-Shire.

I am the Immediate Past President of HBW and was proud to lead the organisation into our 25th anniversary year in 2020 and accept the Association of Scottish Business Women's Best Affiliated Group Award in September 2019 and bring it back to the Highlands for the second time. I will continue to support Mairi MacDonald, Donna Smith and the rest of the Board to continue to grow and support our membership for the next 25 years! My day job is State Aid Manager with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) the Government's economic development agency for the north and west of Scotland. Although my current role is to provide technical advice and training to HIE staff, my 40-year career has been in developing businesses, community capacity building, rural and urban regeneration . I have been a member of Highland Business Women for 15+ years and I'm a strong supporter of women entrepreneurship. I am a cultural producer and programmer based in Caithness in the Scottish Highlands. I am interested in participatory and celebratory work that promotes place and explores the role of arts and creative practitioners in community development. I have a socially engaged producing practice, and am particularly interested in 'rural' creativity. I am Co-Director of Lyth Arts Centre, the UK's most northerly mainland arts centre. I also work with Company of Wolves and Lewis Normand as their Producer. Recently I have worked with Dance North, as their Regional Artist Support Co-Ordinator, with Tolu Agbelusi, as Tour Producer of 'Ilé La Wà (We Are Home)' and as Producer of 'Mina' by Nataly Lebouleux & Improbable Dolls. I have previously worked with companies and artists like Highland Youth Arts Hub, National Trust for Scotland, ArtReach, Mark Titchner, The Lowry, Pat the Dog Theatre Creation (Canada), Action Transport Theatre, Waterside Arts Centre, The Bare Project and Creative Industries Trafford. Beth launched her career at Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust in 2017, the Trust is a charity that was set up in 2011 to benefit the districts of Ardgay and Creich in South East Sutherland. The aim of the Trust is to deliver long-term, sustainable initiatives that strengthen the community by: 1) increasing leisure and outdoor activities for residents and visitors, 2) creating employment opportunities, 3) providing activities which make a difference to the lives of local people, 4) supporting other local organisations with their projects. Living in rural communities her entire life, Beth is passionate about empowering communities to support the remote rural development of people and place – especially through a young person’s eyes (as a young person herself). Beth's role supports the growth of opportunities through the tool of the Trust's Third Sector to Third Sector Project Management service. Beth is currently continuing to further develop her learning through studying a Degree Graduate Apprenticeship Business Management BA (Hons) at the University of Strathclyde to compliment her day-to-day work. In her spare time, she loves to wild swim, explore the Highlands, create and share food, and keep fit!

Mikeysline is a Highland mental health awareness/support and suicide prevention charity. We offer support from early intervention to those struggling with their thoughts and feelings, deterioration in mental health, in emotional distress and/or at risk of self-harm and suicide. As well as providing direct support through our text based support service and face to face in the Hive, we have a young person's service. We operate 365 days a year and do all that we can to raise awareness about mental health issues and break down the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide.

Alison is the University of the Highlands and Islands’ head of development. A highlander born and bred, Alison previously spent 25 years working in a range of economic development and marketing roles and is passionate about making a difference in a region she is proud to call home. Alison joined the board of Inverness Women’s Aid in 2020 with a focus on helping raise awareness and building strong relationships with IWA donors and supporters. She is a former recipient of the Customer Contact Association (CCA Global) Women of Influence award in recognition of her impact and influence on the development of the customer service profession in Scotland. Outwith work Alison loves supporting young people to reach their potential and is particularly interested in how sport can build confidence, as well as the different ways in which to retain teenage girls in sport. Alison lives in Inverness with her husband, grown up son, teenage daughter, and their always-happy springer spaniel.
