Good afternoon! We’re here to brighten up this dreich Monday with the next instalment of our Member Monday feature! This week we are delighted to hear from Laura Auld, Associate Solicitor at Harper Macleod LLP:
I was raised in Lanarkshire and moved north to my husband’s home town in Ross-Shire just over five years ago to raise our girls close to our extended family. This was the best decision we could have made.
Keen to become involved with the local business community, I moved to Harper Macleod who have a sizeable office in Inverness and a genuine focus on providing an excellent service to the Highlands, Islands and Moray from local bases.
I had the opportunity to join HBW through HM and have found a community of professionals who empower, support and inspire each other; a community I am eager to engage further with.
I am an Associate in the Employment & Immigration team and have specialised in employment law throughout my career. In my role I advise employer clients on the full spectrum of employment law matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, industrial relations, business reorganisations, redundancy and TUPE. I also advise on the employment law aspects of commercial transactions, represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and act for individuals in relation to workplace issues and settlement agreements.
I achieve good results for my clients by taking a pragmatic approach and offering practical, commercial solutions to employment law problems.
