Who can join HBW?
Do I need to have my own business to be a member? No, any woman, whether an employee, employer, self-employed, volunteer, or retiree, can join HBW.
What benefits does membership provide?
Members gain access to networking opportunities, monthly events, and free membership to the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB).
What kind of events does HBW host and when?
Highland Business Women hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including monthly networking events, guest speaker events, workshops/training sessions and awards ceremonies.
Meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of each month and often consist of a two-course meal with tea/coffee, followed by a guest speaker or activity.
Where are HBW's events run?
We meet at various different venues in and around the Inverness, Nairn, Ross-shire or Badenoch and Strathspey areas.Â

Members can develop their directory listing and also feature on our Member Mondays, which helps to increase their profile/visibility and be spotlighted on our social media and newsletter.
Can non-members attend HBW events?
Absolutely, although members do receive a discounted rate on event tickets.

What are HBW Buddies?
If you are new to HBW and a bit nervous about coming along to your first meeting or introducing yourself to our members, then don’t worry, we have got HBWÂ Buddies on hand to help!
HBW Buddies are current members of the club who have kindly volunteered themselves to ‘buddy’ new members at our monthly meetings and events. They will be on hand to help answer any questions you might have and will help introduce you to other members of the club.
