Good morning all! We hope you are all well this Monday morning. It is, once again, our favourite time of the week as we bring you more from one of our fabulous members in our Member Monday feature! This week we are delighted to hear a little more about HBW member, Kirstin Grant:
My name is Kirstin Grant, and I run a small business called KG Scotland, based in Nairn. I also work full time in the Emergency Services in the Highlands of Scotland. My business started around a year ago and initially focused on ocean art, specialising in resin. This side of my business has really grown and I now supply four shops with my beach inspired products.
All of my art is inspired by the beach and I spend a lot of time there, either swimming, paddle boarding or kite surfing. I recently qualified in Open Water Safety and since July I have been providing Cold Water Therapy Sessions, teaching people about the safety, the benefits and the risks of cold water immersion and pride myself on the remote spots I deliver my sessions. Since July, I have not only been amazed by the uptake and progression of my clients but I have also been overwhelmed by the reported benefits, so much so that my business will now be open to social prescribing from the NHS.
I am in the early stages of building my business and would be keen to connect with others for collaborations. I am also looking forward to using the exciting HBW platform.
