Good afternoon to all of our lovely followers! Here we are with another instalment of our Member Monday feature, and this week brings us the story of our Member Ambassador herself, Beth Jordan. Many of our members will have connected with Beth already as Beth’s mission is to promote all of our HBW members within our Member Monday feature (member stories also feature in our newsletters). So here’s a chance to learn a little more about Beth and her story…
Hi All. This is Beth Jordan, your HBW Member Ambassador.
I’m taking this opportunity of reintroducing myself to the HBW Community.
I relocated to the Highlands of Scotland from Hove, in East Sussex, on 26th June 2021, together with my family, and found a lovely old house along the road to the Fyrish Monument and have actually walked up there several times. Whew!
As we came out of another national lockdown, which affected my fashion business, as I supplied many UK retail high street shops and the impact of Brexit from the previous years, I stood back and took stock of the awesomely long time I had worked in the Fashion industry, designing, manufacturing and importing from China and India. I decided to change my career direction, by taking all my experience and knowledge of the fashion and business world and refocus these skills in different areas. Being a business owner, it was usual to help my staff through coaching and mentoring, so it seemed a natural move to qualify as a Personal and Professional Development Coach/Mentor in and around the world of owners and non-owners from the world of business and beyond and assist them in discovering how best to work out where they needed to be.
This has been an opportunity to reinvent myself and my career and am looking forward to seeing where it will carry my feet and heart.
Furthermore I joined HBW to connect and get to know our members, and what better way than to offer my assistance to HBW, by helping their members gain more connection and visibility throughout the HBW platforms, as the more I chatted to them, the more I realised how each and everyone of our members has a remarkable story to tell and share with other members. The stories I have been privileged to read so far have been like a rosebud blossoming into a magnificent rose.
