Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Member Monday where we shine a spotlight on one of our fantastic Highland Business Women members.

We’re proud to have so many extraordinary women in our network, and each week we share their stories to help you connect, collaborate, and celebrate the amazing talent within our community.

This week, we’re delighted to introduce Karen Green, founder of macSoap.

“Hello, my name is Karen and I live in the Highlands with my partner, our rescue dogs, horses and hens. From our croft in the hills near Loch Ness, I run macSoap — a one-woman business dedicated to creating hand crafted soaps and natural skincare, made with Scottish botanicals.

Each product is made in small batches using traditional methods and carefully chosen natural butters and oils, essential oils are used for fragrance. Many of the plants — like heather, gorse, and wild rose — are hand-harvested by myself from my own organic croft and the surrounding hillsides. This connection to the land means every bar of soap and every skincare product carries a little piece of the Highlands within it. This year two of my soaps have received Silver Awards, which I am very proud of.

As well as selling online at macsoap.co.uk and attending local events with my stand, I work with independent retailers and stockists through wholesale partnerships. Supporting other small businesses while sharing the story of the Highlands, and it’s wonderful flora, is something I’m passionate about growing further.”
