Now we have been receiving in a number of personal profiles from our lovely members, we thought it was time to share beyond the the remit of our newsletters and bring them into our socials.
So, jumping back to the first member’s story we published, and we’ll aim to run through new profiles on a weekly basis, here we are with a little about our newest Board member, Aleksandra Czech-Seklecka :
Originally I am from Poland where I graduated in Cross-cultural Psychology, Media Psychology and Cultural Studies. I worked in advertising, marketing and project management. I was a PMO Specialist working for Samsung R&D Institute Poland where I built from scratch a Project Management Office for Android Commercialization.
I moved to Scotland over 6 years ago because I fell in love with this country. Unfortunately after moving here I started to have serious health issues. I have been living in pain every single day since then.
Currently I am building my own business called VanFill – a mobile application connecting customers with transport providers to transport their goods using empty and half-empty runs to not only reduce the transport costs but also to reduce carbon emissions.
By building this business, I also want to inspire other people (especially women) with chronic illnesses and medical conditions to not give up. I want people to believe that no matter what they are going through they can be successful.
In my free time I love traveling, painting, writing my book and working on my website, where I will share my photos and promote forgotten histories from Scottish places I have visited.
