Finalists announced for Highland Business Women awards: BBC journalist Steph McGovern to deliver keynote speech

Finalists have been named for the 2017 Highland Business Women awards. Awards recognise a range of achievements, with seven categories including best new business, and business woman of the year.

BBC journalist Steph McGovern will be the keynote speaker at the Highland Business Women’s awards dinner at the Drumossie Hotel on 17 March. McGovern, best known for hosting BBC Breakfast, will be the guest of honour at the annual event which spotlights the achievements of women in business.

“We’re delighted to be hosting Steph to the Highlands,” noted Highland Business Women President Victoria Leslie. “I have long admired her candid, relaxed style, and I am sure our guests will enjoy hearing from Steph at first hand on her successes and business knowledge,” she added.

“Two hundred people attended last year’s awards dinner, and only a limited number of tickets remain for 17 March,” noted Leslie. “I would encourage anyone hoping to attend to secure their tickets soon, which can be purchased online.” Tickets are £75 per person and include a three-course meal and drink on arrival; they are available via Eventbrite. The evening begins at 6.30pm.

Sponsors of the 2017 Highland Business Women awards include Royal Bank of Scotland, the Press & Journal, Business Gateway, Ledingham Chalmers, Tulloch Homes and Dicksons of Inverness.
